Sunshine on the scoreboard: our clubhouse now runs on solar power
Two banks of solar panels and battery storage now power the club, cutting energy bills by around two thirds.

Our clubhouse is now largely powered by the Moray sunshine. Two banks of solar panels, backed by battery storage, were installed on ground behind the premises - an investment of more than £30,000, with 80% grant funding secured through Local Energy Scotland.
The difference has been dramatic: monthly energy bills have fallen from around £1,000 to roughly £300. That saving goes straight back into what matters - keeping the green in great condition, the clubhouse warm and the winter league affordable for everyone.
A greener club in every sense
The panels mean the lights over the indoor carpets, the kitchen and the bar all run cleaner and cheaper. It's a big step for a village club, and one that helps secure the future of bowling in Cullen for the next generation.
